I spent the entire evening carving a 'Herman Munster' pumpkin. 'The Munsters' was one of my favorite Nick at Night shows growing up. I still watch it on Netflix late at night.
Next, I carved Lucy's littler pumpkin. She decided to go with a simple 'Boo' jack-o-lantern.

Heath spent most of the night chasing Lucy around the kitchen and cleaning up after me. Finally, he joined the fun and carved this pattern. It reminds me of the ghosts on 'Scooby-Doo.'

Lucy wasn't too impressed with her pumpkin. She was very curious about the stem; but, she just wanted to throw it around.
After we lit the jack-o-lanterns, mommy and Lucy decided to take a picture on the front step. It was very reminiscent of our 2009 photo, taken when I was pregnant.

What patterns did you carve in your jack-o-lanterns this year? Do you like a challenge or just free-hand?
I have never carved a jack-o-lantern :S
ReplyDeleteWell I always use a pattern, and I am working on mine right now. I cleaned and poked the pattern tonight and plan on cutting out the pieces tomorrow while I watch Glee ;) But I am doing a creepy house with a cemetry and spooky tree with two bats flying. It's going to be a challenge which I love!
