Too Late?

So, is it too late to talk about Christmas? And, share our photos?

Well, if it is, sorry. I am awful about gathering pictures from our camera. But, I finally got a whole bunch - including Christmas! Here they are...

We started our kick-off to Christmas by going to see...who else, but Santa Claus?

Lucy had her new Christmas dress on.

She did alright. No tears! :) She was more interested in the candy canes than anything else. I just wish 'binkie' hadn't been in the picture. :{

It was a fun family night.

In early December, Lucy got her letter from Santa Claus. She was pretty excited to get mail, but otherwise oblivious about the content. However, when she gets older I think she will enjoy seeing these letters, marking her year's milestones and 'what to work on.'

We filled most of our evenings reading Christmas stories in front of the Christmas tree. Lucy loved reading 'Charlie Brown's Christmas' and 'Twas' the Night Before Christmas.' She even has two Hallmark books that her Mimi and Grandpa recorded for her.

I'll admit, by the end I was begging to read something other than Charlie Brown. I love it; but, boy, does it get old. Thirty nights of reading it is a lot! Good grief! ;)

We, again, spent Christmas Eve as a family. We made sure to take another family photo in front of the Christmas tree.

Once we got home, Lucy loved opening her stocking. She got a lot of goodies and some more, small books!

We left the camera out all night and Santa took a picture of the presents he left under the tree! Doesn't this photos just seem warm? :)

The next morning, Lucy was in a sleepy daze. She tried out her new recliner while we opened other gifts.

It was a wonderful holiday season. I am sad that it is again so far away. However, each year with Lucy is so exciting and new! I know we have many great years to come...

Now, onto Valentines! :)

Happy Birthday Lucy!

Sometimes Lucy's birth seems like years and years ago. Sometimes it feels like yesterday.

The pain seems long gone and I hardly remember it. But, the time that I've spent with Lucy doesn't seem like enough to fill two years! I guess this is parenthood...

How my little girl went from this -

To a toddler, I'll never quite know.

But, one thing I do know is why she looks like she does. Her daddy.

I tried to tell myself over and over again that she looks like me. She has blonde-ish hair. She has big brown eyes. There is some of me in there! Plus, it had been a while since I had seen Heath's baby pictures. But, then...I saw some of him when he was two years old.  It's Lucy....in boy clothes.  Even Lucy thought it was herself! She pointed and said, "That's Lucy!"

My arguments are all down the drain with a shear glimpse of the images that I will lay before you -

I rest my case. Heath's genes are apparently WAY more powerful than mine - except that big toe! :)
As the day continues, and the weather calls for a light snow, I will be thinking of the Super Bowl Sunday that Lucy was born. At 1:12 pm, it was snowing then too. :) Seeing her face for the first time was amazing. I dreamed of what she would look like. Now, I know that all I had to do was look to my right and she was staring back at me, with freckles. :)

Ahhh....the miracle of life.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

It's been a while since I did a 'What I'm Loving Wednesday!' But, I think it is good to just stop and think about the things that make your cup half full. It is good to be grateful, even if it is for stupid stuff, like television. :)

This first Wednesday in February, I am loving...

...alright, I'm going to say it...television! I really am. Some of my favorite shows are on this time of year and I have missed them the last two nights. So, I have Pretty Little Liars, The Lying Game, Switched at Birth, Glee (Michael Jackson themed) and Last Man Standing waiting for me at home on the DVR. Glee had me at Michael Jackson. He might have been a weirdo; but, I love the man's music - and the Jackson 5's music as well!

...Lucy's 2nd Birthday Party is this weekend! She is having a Tangled themed party. She is going to have a blast. We all are, hopefully!

...my cell phone cover. Well, kind of. I currently hate it; because, it's busted. On the other hand, I love it; because it probably saved my phone's life. Here is one of the three breaks.

...babies. Two of my best friends had babies recently

...that Lucy is playing with her very first Barbie (thanks Kiki).

...price matching! I saved approximately $50 the other night at Walmart. Whoop-whoop!

...the YouTube tutorial I made at work. With screen-shots and other step-by-step processes, it ended up being 40 pages long! :) I'm proud.

...that our neighborhood is finally getting a little less trashy. The neighbors got rid of the couch on their front porch and we literally saw a car in a dump truck the other morning. Sorry it's so blurry. How weird? Wow...I just now realize how trashy our neighborhood sounds. haha.

...my husband. He has been running in the morning. As a result, he has all sorts of crazy energy. He has been cleaning the house like a mad man. He even made me breakfast in bed, again, this last weekend. I sure do love him!

...that Lucy is a girly girl. :) She likes to wear my work heels. Oh, and pay no attention to the laundry basket in the background. :{ Oops. My half of the room is often a disaster. Sorry Heath! :[

...of course, my baby girl, Lucy. She makes our world go round. :)

...all my family, friends, and readers out there! Love you!

Happy Hump Day! What are you loving this Wednesday?
